USA Today/NFCA High School Top 25 Poll 

Valencia (Calif.) remained atop the USA Today/NFCA High School Top 25 Poll, the association announced Thursday. 

The rest of the top five remained unchanged, as Camarillo (Calif.) stayed at No. 2, ahead of Canyon del Oro (Ariz.), Central Cabarrus (N.C.) and Justin Northwest (Texas). 

A pair of newcomers moved immediately into the top 10 this week. Everglades (Fla.) debuted at No. 6 after winning the state 6A title with a 29-2 record. Sunnyside (Ariz.) came in a No. 8 with a 32-4 mark. Kennedy (Calif.) sat between the two teams as it moved up one place to seventh. 

Broad Run (Va.) moved up three places to No. 9, while Sheldon (Calif.) gave the “Golden State” a fourth team in the top 10 as it moved up three notches. 

Shadle Park (Wash.) continued to climb, leaping three places to No. 11, while Spruce Creek (Fla.) had its state title hopes dashed and dropped six spots to 12th. Buena (Ariz.) also dropped six places this week, coming in at No. 13. 

Brentwood (Tenn.) moved up two places to No. 14, coming in just ahead of newcomer Cinco Ranch (Texas).

South Florence (S.C.) extended its win streak and leaped three places to No. 16. Naples (Fla.) dropped eight places to 17th this week after having its season ended in the state playoffs. 

Vestavia Hills (Ala.) vaulted four places to No. 18, while North Canton Hoover (Ohio) climbed one place to 19th. Roseburg (Ore.) stayed in the top 20 despite falling two places from its No. 18 ranking from the previous week. 

Archbishop Mitty (Calif.) climbed two places after debuting in 23rd last week. It jumped over Butler (N.C.) who fell one place to No. 22. 

Hamilton Southeastern (Ind.) moved to 23rd, ahead of newcomers Lakeland (Mich.) and Glenbard North (Ill.).
