USA Today/NFCA High School Top 25 PollUSA Today/NFCA High School Top 25 Poll 

Valencia (Calif.) continued its reign atop the USA Today/NFCA High School Top 25 PollUSA Today/NFCA High School Top 25 Poll, the association announced Thursday. 

Fellow California standout Camarillo (Calif.) moved up to second this week after Naples (Fla.) was eliminated from the playoffs and dropped to ninth. 

The Naples loss moved Canyon del Oro (Ariz.) up one place to third, while Central Cabarrus (N.C.) advanced a spot to fourth. Justin Northwest continued to lead the Texas schools in the poll, sitting at No. 5, one place ahead of Spruce Creek (Fla.), the top-ranked team in the “Sunshine State” this week. 

Buena (Ariz.) moved up one place to seventh, while Kennedy (Calif.) gives the state its third top-10 team as it moves up one place to eighth. 

Smithson Valley (Texas) remains at No. 10 this week, while Tampa Chamberlain (Fla.) continues immediately behind at No. 11. 

Broad Run (Va.) moved up to No. 12 this week, a leap of three places. Sheldon (Calif.) and Shadle Park (Wash.) also moved up a trio of spots, landing at Nos. 13 and 14, respectively. 

Pearland (Texas) made the highest debut of the week, coming in at No. 15 with a 31-6 record on the campaign. Brentwood (Tenn.) dropped four places after dropping its third game of the year, while Burleson (Texas) fell three places to No. 17. 

Sandburg (Ill.) re-emerged in the rankings at No. 25 this week, but Nos. 19-24 remained unchanged with South Florence (S.C.) leading the way ahead of North Canton Hoover (Ohio), Butler (N.C.), Vestavia Hills (Ala.), Archbishop Mitty (Calif.) and Hamilton Southeast (Ind.).
