Sheldon High School (California) maintains the top spot in this week's USA Today/NFCA High School Top 25
, released Thursday by the NFCA. Behind a 15-strikeout performance from Jolene Henderson, the Huskies beat Woodland 8-0 in their only contest of the week.
Elsewhere, the top five remains the same this week as Klein Oak (Texas), Naples (Florida), Norco (California) and Alexander Central (North Carolina) all had perfect weeks, combining to win ten games.
Arch Bishop Mitty moves up one spot to sixth, after beating last week's sixth-ranked team Freedom (California) 2-0. A two-run double by Shea Williams scored the only runs in that Bay Area showdown.
The top ten completes itself with Red Bank Catholic (New Jersey), Elkins (Texas), Canyon Del Oro (Arizona) and Freedom (California).
