Klein Oak (Texas) paces the field in this week's USA Today/NFCA High School Top 25USA Today/NFCA High School Top 25, released Thursday by the NFCA. The Panthers enter postseason play with a 26-0 overall record.

Perhaps, the biggest winner in this week's rankings was swine flu. The epidemic canceled many high school games statewide throughout the south and southwest.

Elsewhere in the top five, Naples (Florida) won once this past week to remain second in the nation. The defending Class 4A state champions have advanced to the regional final, where it will meet No. 12 Lake Wales (Florida).

The California trio of Arch Bishop Mitty, Sheldon and Norco remain third, fourth and fifth in this week's rankings.

This week's biggest jump comes from new No. 8 Clements (Texas). Clements moved up eight spots after defeating then-No. 7 Elkins (Texas) 3-1 Monday. That contest was played before statewide cancelations started on Tuesday.

The lone poll newcomer this week is No. 25 Marist (Oregon), which is back in the rankings after appearing for two weeks last month. Class 4A Marist has won 46 of its last 47 games and is 20-1 overall this season.

Records for this week’s poll include all games played through May 2, 2009.
