Klein Oak (Texas) enters postseason play holding the top spot in this week's USA Today/NFCA High School Top 25, released Thursday by the NFCA. The Panthers enter postseason play with a 27-0 overall record.

Postseason play begins this weekend in the state of Texas, as well as the state of California, where several Top 10 teams will stake their claim for a state title.

The California trio of Arch Bishop Mitty, Sheldon and Norco follow in the national rankings, with Canyon Del Oro (Arizona) being rated fifth this week.

Canyon Del Oro has already open Class 5A playoff action with a pair of wins, thanks in part to a second and third straight no-hitter from Kenzie Fowler.

The state playoffs are also turning serious in Florida where the semifinal round for the larger classifications is this weekend.

In Florida, the Class 4A semifinals include No. 20 Pembroke Pines versus No. 11 Lake Wales and No. 13 Dunnellon versus Stanton. The Class 6A semifinals match No. 16 Fletcher versus Eau Gallie and Cooper City versus Ferguson.
