Fort Bend Elkins (Missouri City, Texas) improved its winning streak to 63 games and remains No. 1 for the 15th consecutive week in the USA Today/NFCA High School Top 25 Poll.
The Knights, who are led by head coach James McClanahan and the reigning Speedline National Coaching Staff of the Year, are 24-0 this season, including a second consecutive undefeated mark in the prestigious Bullhead City Tournament of Champions.
Elkins defeated Pacifica (Garden Grove, Calif.) for the tournament title. Pacifica remains second in the poll after a week that saw many games in California cancelled due to weather.
Bartow (Fla.) remained third, followed by Cactus (Glendale, Ariz.) and Coronal (Calif.). Keller (Texas) is sixth, Central Cabarrus (N.C.) remains seventh, Tomball (Texas), Sunrise Mountain (Peoria, Ariz.) and Pembroke Pines Charter (Palm Beach, Fla.) round out the top ten.
Notre Dame (Salinas, Calif.) is No. 11, followed by Oakdale (Calif.), Thousand Oaks (Calif.), Cocoa (Fla.) and Sabino (Tucson, Ariz.).
Palm Beach Gardens (Palm Beach, Fla.) suffered a loss and dropped to 16th. Edison (Fresno, Calif.) improved to 19-0 and jumped to No. 17. Chamberlain (Tampa, Fla.), Denham Springs (La.) and Lee (Midland, Texas) round out the top 20.
The last five ranked teams are Escambia (Pensacola, Fla.), St. Amant (La.), Sierra Vista (Buena, Ariz.), Brenham (Texas) and Hollywood Christian (Fla.).
