Central Cabarrus (N.C.) remained on top of the USA Today/NFCA High School Top 25 Poll for the third consecutive week, the association announced Thursday. 

Central Cabarrus has posted a 19-0 mark on the season to pull ahead in the rankings of previous No. 1 Keller (Texas), who moved up one place to second after Cactus (Ariz.) suffered its third setback of the season to drop to fourth. Canyon del Oro, another Arizona standout, moved up to third. 

Garland (Texas), one of three Texas prep standouts in the top 10, stayed at No. 5, while fellow Texas standout Fort Bend Elkins jumped one place to seventh, the spot Freedom (Calif.) occupied before moving up to sixth this week. 

Bartow (Fla.) dropped two places to eighth, while Royal (Calif.) stayed at No. 9. Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) remained in the top 10, holding steady at No. 10, while fellow Florida institution Escambia held on at No. 11.

Places 12-17 remained unchanged, with Sunnyslope (Ariz.) leading the pack followed by Woodcreek (Calif.), St. Amant (La.), Santa Fe (Fla.), Oakdale (Calif.) and Chamberlain (Fla.). 

St. Benedict continued its winning ways in the Tennessee prep ranks, and as a result, moved up one place to No. 18. Buena (Ariz.) moved up two spots to No. 19, while Regina (Mich.) jumped into the top 20 at No. 20 with a 2-0 mark. 

Brenham (Texas) dropped one place to 21st, while Olathe East (Kan.) moved up three places to No. 22. Bishop O’Connell (Va.), Buchanan (Calif.) and Bradshaw Mountain (Ariz.) rounded out the poll, respectively.
