LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association is pleased to reveal its 2021 NFCA NJCAA Division I and II All-Region teams. This year’s 12 squads across two divisions are comprised of a total of 164 student-athletes from 68 programs.

The awards salute student-athletes from each division’s three NJCAA regions with first and second-team honors.

Division I’s Butler Community College led all schools with seven honorees, including five first-team selections, in the West Region, while national runner-up Grayson scored five Midwest spots. First-time national champion Florida SouthWestern State was one of three South schools with four players recognized, joining Chattanooga State and Chipola.

Bossier Parish in the Midwest and Howard in the West also had four players chosen. In all, 80 Division I players from 35 different schools were recognized.

National runner-up Jones led all Division II teams with six players on the South Region squad, while Phoenix, which won its ninth national championship — and first since 2012 — for 2021 NFCA Hall of Fame inductee Heinz Mueller, had five players selected in that same region.

Catawba Valley, Lakeland and Oakland all had five honorees in the East Region, while Madison and Parkland shared top honors in the Midwest with four selections apiece. A total of 84 players from 33 different schools earned Division II recognition.

NFCA member head coaches from each respective region vote on the teams, and all student-athletes are now eligible for the 2021 NFCA NJCAA Division I and II All-America squads. Conference players and pitchers of the year from member institutions are added to the second team if they were nominated and not already voted to an All-Region squad. In some instances, limited regional nominations prevent a position from being filled.

The 2021 NFCA NJCAA Division I and II All-America teams will be announced on June 4.
