LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Thirty-eight student-athletes from 24 programs were named 2024 NFCA National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I All-Americans.
National runner-up McLennan Community College and fourth-place finisher Northwest Florida State College led the way with four All-Americans. All four Highlanders were on the first team, while three first teamers hailed from NWF. Temple College, who finished third nationally, collected three All-America plaudits, two on the first team.
2024 NFCA NJCAA DI ALL-AMERICANS
NJCAA Division I National Champion Indian River State College was one of six programs to earn two All-America honors. The Pioneers were joined by Florida SouthWestern State College, Galveston College, Hutchinson Community College, Jefferson College and Odessa College. One student-athlete from each of those six programs earned first-team honors.
Four student-athletes – first-teamers Sami Huck (pitcher) of Jefferson and College of Southern Idaho’s Tessa Hokason (second base), along with second teamers Arriana Wright (shortstop) of San Jacinto College-South and Chattanooga State Community College’s Caydra Parker (outfield) – are repeat All-Americans.
Additionally, Gaston College’s Brantleigh Parrot was named the Joan Joyce Utility/Pitcher first-team All-American for NJCAA Division I which was renamed last season to honor the late NFCA Hall of Famer and pioneer of women’s sports.
NFCA All-Region and All-America athletes must be nominated by their NFCA-member head coach, are voted for by the coaches in their region or division, and ultimately selected by elected NJCAA Division I All-American committee members to receive this prestigious accolade. All special awards are also selected by the All-American committee members or by the entire division.
