Defending national champion Texas Lutheran (35-4) ousted Birmingham-Southern, 9-1 in five innings, on Sunday, while 2017 and 2018 titlist Virginia Wesleyan (44-5-1) eliminated top seed and No. 1-ranked DePauw, 3-0, later in the day to return to the final two for the first time since winning the second of its back-to-back crowns in 2018. The Bulldogs and Marlins will play the first game of their finals series at 3 p.m. ET on Monday, with the second game slated for 11 a.m. Tuesday. A third winner-take-all contest would follow later Tuesday, if needed.

Texas Lutheran 9, Birmingham-Southern 1

The Bulldogs scored in every inning, including one each in the first two, five in the third, and two more in the fourth to improve to 8-0 combined for the last two NCAA finals. Haley Padilla and NFCA All-American Rebecca Snow hit solo homers to provide the winning edge, while Skylar Ouellette went 3-for-3 with a double, two runs and two RBI in the victory. All-American Ashlyn Strother went the distance in the circle, scattering six hits and striking four over five innings.

All-American Annie Clayton went 2-for-2 and Kaylyn Chapman also had two hits in the season-ending loss for the (33-8) Panthers.

Virginia Wesleyan 3, DePauw 0

All-American Jessica Goldyn had two doubles and a homer and the Marlins scored all three of their runs over the first two innings, and left things in the capable arms of All-America pitchers Emily Seale and Hanna Hull (combined four-hitter, 51 of 77 pitches for strikes) after that.

All-American Cami Henry fanned eight over six innings and allowed six hits in the loss for the (40-5) Tigers.
