LOUISVILLE, Ky. —Williams’ Sadie Leonard and East Texas Baptist’s Tauryn Cummings claimed the latest Division III Wilson/NFCA Pitcher and Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player of the Week honors of the 2025 season on Tuesday.

Junior right-hander Leonard allowed just seven hits over three starts and 20 innings in the circle to collect honors for a second consecutive week. That included a 12-strikeout no-hitter in the No. 19 Ephs’ conference opener against Bates, a three-hitter (16 strikeouts) versus La Verne and a four-hitter (14 strikeouts) against Bowdoin. For the week, they fanned 42 batters and allowed just one walk and four runs in three complete-game victories.

Cummings, meanwhile, batted .800 (4-for-5) in the top-ranked Tigers’ second twinbill sweep of the University of Texas at Dallas in the last two weeks. The graduate third baseman hit two home runs, scored three runs and had six RBI in the second game after going 1-for-2 in the first contest. She drew a seven-pitch walk as East Texas Baptist exploded for six runs in the seventh to streak by the Comets in the opening game 6-3. She is the second Tiger to earn national honors this season.
