LOUISVILLE, Ky. — SUNY New Paltz’s Sydney Waldon and Trine’s Emma Lee claimed the latest Division III Wilson/NFCA Pitcher and Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player of the Week honors of the 2025 season on Tuesday.

Senior right-hander Waldon was progressively more brilliant in each of her three starts, tossing a one-hitter, a no-hitter and a perfect game to be the unanimous choice of voters for national pitching honors. For the week, the Maplewood, N.J., native was 3-0 with a save, 48 strikeouts and just seven walks over 22 scoreless innings in the circle.

Lee, meanwhile, hit .900 (9-for-10) with 10 runs scored, two doubles, three home runs and 13 RBI. The junior center fielder also walked once and stole four bases. The Cottage Grove, Wis., product had at least two hits in all four contests, and went 3-for-3 with two homers in Saturday’s finale against Hope.
