LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The top four teams remained the same again this week in the NFCA/GoRout Division III Top 25 Coaches Poll.
No. 1 East Texas Baptist (32-2) extended its win streak to 16 games, while second-ranked Rowan (35-1) suffered its first loss after winning 31 straight to open the season. The Tigers swept a pair of conference doubleheaders with LeTourneau, and the Profs shook off a 5-2 loss to The College of New Jersey in the second game of a home twinbill before sweeping Ramapo and Rutgers-Newark.
Third-ranked Christopher Newport (29-3) split with then-No. 5 Virginia Wesleyan before sweeping Lynchburg, and No. 4 Linfield took three of four games from Lewis & Clark.
No. 5 Texas Lutheran (34-1) and No. 6 Trine (26-4) kept winning to leapfrog the (32-3-1) Marlins, ahead of the unchanged trio of No. 8 Salisbury (27-3-1), No. 9 Huntingdon (34-3) and No. 10 Redlands (27-7).
WashU (26-5) moved up one place to 11th, while Moravian (26-4) and Saint Mary’s (31-3) were the big movers of the week, gaining four spots apiece, to No. 12 and 13, respectively.
Wisconsin-Oshkosh (26-4) split two doubleheaders to slide from 11th to 15th, and Case Western Reserve (21-9) dropped the final game of a three-game set with UChicago to fall from 13th to 17th.
Simpson (28-4) surged two spots to No. 20 after sweeping then-No. 19 Central and Loras in a 5-1 week. Baldwin Wallace (25-2) and Pfeiffer (24-7) also improved their standing, while Ithaca (20-5) debuts at No. 24 and Chapman (23-6) moved into to the Top 25 after two weeks receiving votes.
