LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Reigning national champion East Texas Baptist continued Tuesday as the unanimous No. 1 team in the NFCA/GoRout Division III Top 25 Coaches Poll for a sixth consecutive week dating back to last season.
The (20-2) Tigers have won four straight games since a 6-1 top-10 loss to Virginia Wesleyan two weeks ago. That includes a doubleheader sweep of Mary Hardin-Baylor this past Saturday.
The four teams below them remained unchanged. No. 2 Linfield (11-1) was idle, but No. 3 Christopher Newport (19-1), fourth-ranked Rowan (20-0) and No. 5 Virginia Wesleyan (15-1) all won their games to keep pace.
Rowan’s 10-2 five-inning victory over Wisconsin-Stout last Tuesday gave head coach and NFCA Hall of Famer Kim Wilson 1,000 career wins, making her the first woman in Division III history to reach that plateau.
Leadoff Classic champion Redlands (18-3) swept Whitworth to move up another place this week to sixth, swapping spots with Wisconsin-Oshkosh (12-2), which suffered its first loss of the season, 2-1 to Ramapo on Friday in Florida. The Titans lost again on Monday, 2-1 to Manchester.
Texas Lutheran (21-1), Huntingdon (21-2) and Trine (14-4) round out the revised top 10.
Meanwhile, WashU (15-5) continued to advance in the rankings, going from a tie for 25th last week to No. 18 this week after taking two of three games from then-No. 8 Case Western Reserve. That caused the (10-7) Spartans to plummet seven spots to 15th.
Losses dropped Wisconsin-Stevens Point (17-3) and Central (7-3) six and five places in the rankings, respectively.
Ramapo (10-1) joined the mix at No. 25, while Simpson (15-1) and Wisconsin-Eau Claire (14-2) received votes for the first time this season.
The NFCA/GoRout Division III Top 25 Coaches Poll is selected by 10 NCAA Division III head coaches representing the 10 NCAA regions. Current 2025 records are listed, with first-place votes in parentheses.
