LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Cal Poly Humboldt’s Katlyn Gifford and East Stroudsburg’s Sarah Davenport scored the final Division II Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player and Wilson/NFCA Pitcher of the Week honors for the 2025 season. It marks the third honor for Davenport this season.

Gifford keyed the Lumberjacks to a three-game sweep of Stanislaus State to close out their 2025 season. She was 6-for-8 (.750) at the plate with a pair of home runs, seven RBI and six runs scored. Gifford’s .727 on-base percentage and 1.500 slugging led to a 2.227 OPS. The junior first baseman launched both home runs in game two, the first a two-run shot in the sixth, followed by a walk-off three-run homer in the seventh, lifting the Jacks to a 6-5 comeback win.

Davenport was dominant in three starts last week, leading the 11th-ranked Warriors to a 6-0 week, which secured the PSAC East Division title and the top seed at this week’s conference tournament. The sophomore hurler was 3-0 with a 0.00 ERA and 39 strikeouts, posting two shutouts and scattering eight hits across 21 innings of work. She blanked West Chester on one hit, fanning 15 and walking three, and also shut out Bloomsburg, surrendering five hits and striking out 7. In her final start of the season, Davenport matched a career high with 17 punchouts in a three-hit complete game versus Mansfield. With those two shutouts she set the single-season program record with 10.

The awards are voted on by the NFCA Division II Top 25 Poll Committee, which features two member coaches from each of the NCAA’s eight regions.
