LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Colorado Mesa’s Myah Arrieta and Augustana’s Grace Glanzer earned this week’s Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player and Wilson/NFCA Pitcher of the Week honors for games played March 18-24.

Arrieta launched eight home runs, matching a school record with three in game three against Black Hills State, and slugged 2.375 during a four-game Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) sweep of the Yellowjackets. She batted .813 (13-for-16), scored 11 runs, walked twice and posted an .833 on-base percentage. In game three, Arrieta tallied four runs and six RBI. She left the yard twice and drove in three runs in games one and two. The junior shortstop leads the RMAC with 15 long balls.

Glanzer tossed 19 scoreless innings, allowing just four singles, walking one and striking out 26 batters in three outings last week. The senior hurler notched one- and two-hit shutouts with 10 and nine strikeouts, against Northwest Missouri State and Minnesota State Moorhead, respectively. Glanzer also blanked Northern State on one hit over the first five innings with seven punchouts. She currently holds a 0.50 ERA and has held her opposition to a .154 batting average in 84 innings of work.
