LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Coming of its second Lone Star Conference tournament crown, UT Tyler ends the regular season as the unanimous No. 1 in this week’s NFCA/GoRout Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll. The Patriots (52-4) topped third-ranked West Texas A&M for the title and is the No. 1 seed in the South Central Region heading into NCAA Regionals this upcoming weekend.
Along with UT Tyler, No. 2 Francis Marion (Southeast), No. 4 Central Oklahoma (Central), No. 5 Tampa (South), No. 10 East Stroudsburg (Atlantic), No. 14 Pace (East), No. 15 Cal State East Bay (West) and No. 20 Saginaw Valley State (Midwest) earned No. 1 national seeds and are nationally ranked in the final regular-season poll.
Of those previously-mentioned programs, the UT Tyler Patriots, second-ranked FMU Patriots (49-4), third-ranked Bronchos (46-8), 10th-ranked Warriors (46-10-1) and 20th-ranked Cardinals all earned their regular-season and tournament titles. Also double dipping in their conferences were No. 6 Augustana, No. 9 Western Washington, No. 12 Southern Arkansas and No. 14 Pace.
No. 5 Tampa closed out with a Sunshine State Conference series win over Barry to clinch its fourth straight league title.
No. 22 San Francisco State won its first-ever California Collegiate Athletic Association tournament, while poll newcomers No. 23 Lenoir-Rhyne and No. 24 West Florida captured their league tournaments.
NCAA Division II Regionals will be held May 8-10 at 16 host sites, consisting of two four-team pods per region.
The 2025 NFCA/GoRout Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll is voted on by the NFCA Division II Top 25 Poll Committee. The committee consists of 16 NCAA Division II head coaches with two representing each of the NCAA’s eight regions. The poll will be announced Tuesdays at noon ET throughout the regular season. Records reflect games played through May 6.
