Louisville slugger/NFCA Player of the Week, Wilson/NFCA Pitcher of the Week, NFCA, NFCA D1 Player of the Week, NFCA D1 Pitcher of the Week, Lexi Kilfoyl, Reese Atwood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Texas’ Reese Atwood and Oklahoma State’s Lexi Kilfoyl collected the final 2024 Division I Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player and Wilson/NFCA Pitcher of the Week plaudits. It marks the third award for Atwood and the second for Kilfoyl.

Atwood powered her way to another regular-season nod, blasting four home runs, recording 13 RBI and slugging 1.900 in a three-game sweep at Texas Tech, that keyed the top-ranked Longhorns to their first outright Big 12 title since 2010. She drove in a career-best nine in game two’s record-setting 23-0 victory and homered twice in that contest and the series finale. The sophomore’s four long balls pushed her season total to 21, the most in program history (first Longhorn to reach 20 home runs).

Kilfoyl was efficient in her two relief stints, earning a pair of wins in the Bedlam series at Oklahoma. The graduate hurler did not allow an earned run (1 unearned run each game) in seven innings of work against the Division I’s top-scoring offense. Kilfoyl surrendered just four hits, one for extra bases as the Pokes captured Bedlam in Norman for the first time in 30 years.

The Division I Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player and Wilson/NFCA Pitcher of the Week are voted on by the NFCA Division I Top 25 Poll Committee.
