LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Texas swept through Missouri in Southeastern Conference action to remain No. 1 in this week’s 2025 NFCA/GoRout Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll. The Longhorns (37-3), who also maintained their hold on the top spot in the SEC, collected all but one of the 31 first-place votes this week.
Following an 8-0 series-opening win, Texas won a pair of close contests (4-3, 3-1) against the Tigers in Columbia, to keep its one-game lead over No. 2 Oklahoma in conference play. The second-ranked Sooners (34-3) earned a road win at UT Arlington and then topped St. Thomas and UCF at home.
With Florida dropping three games last week and slipping to No. 6, Texas A&M and Oregon moved into the No. 3 and 4 spots with LSU staying at No. 5. The Aggies (34-5) posted three wins last week, including a pair in SEC action at then-No. 16 Georgia, and have won nine straight and 13 of their last 14 contests.
The fourth-ranked Ducks (35-3) are tied with Texas and Oklahoma for the fewest defeats in Division I. They toppled in-state rival Oregon State, 9-1 on the road, before sweeping a Big Ten series from Michigan at home. LSU (34-5) thumped McNeese at home and won two-of-three against new-No. 23 Alabama in league play.
Previously-mentioned Florida was blanked on the road by then-No. 8 Florida State and dropped two-of-three at home to No. 12 Arkansas.
No. 7 Tennessee (32-8), No. 8 UCLA (36-4), No. 9 FSU (36-6) and No. 10 South Carolina (30-8) round out the top 10. Of those four, the Bruins were the only program not to drop a game last week as they went 4-0, which included two Big Ten home wins against then-No. 21 Ohio State.
Making its way into the ranking for the first time since the preseason poll is No. 24 Clemson. The Tigers (30-11) reached the 30-win mark after going 2-1 on the road at No. 15 Stanford and have won 11 of their last 13 contests.
