LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A familiar face is returning to NFCA headquarters as Executive Director Carol Bruggeman with the support of the Board of Directors is pleased to announce the hiring of Olivia Jansen as the Association’s Marketing Manager.

Jansen, who served as an intern from May 2018 to June 2019, returns to the NFCA following two years as the Social Media Specialist at Static Media. She served as the lead for various Static Media brands, including women’s lifestyle brand The List. Additionally, Jansen created and published content to social media platforms implementing data and analytics to maximize reach and engagement for their clients.

"Our goal has always been to build a team that is driven, talented, and eager to serve our amazing members,” said NFCA Executive Director Carol Bruggeman. “We are thrilled to welcome Olivia Jansen as our Marketing Manager. Olivia's enthusiasm and attention to detail will serve her well in managing our sponsorships and partnerships portfolio. Additionally, her experience in the digital and social media industry will make an immediate impact on our organization.”

Prior to Static, Jansen held two different roles at the NCAA. From February through June of 2021, she was the Social Media Community Manager in the NCAA’s Digital and Social Media Department. The New Albany, Ind. native served as the content lead for NCAA Championships primarily for @NCAASoftball, @NCAAVolleyball and @NCAATrackField accounts leading daily management (in-house or on-site at championship) of NCAA social media sport communities and executing the content plan for brand strategy on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter.

“I am so excited to join the NFCA team!,” Jansen said. “I learned so much from this organization as an intern in 2018 and 2019 and I'm looking forward to continuing that growth as a full-time employee. I am excited to network with our members, sponsors, and everyone else I will be working with!”

Jansen graduated cum laude from Ball State University in December of 2020 with a degree in telecommunications and a minor in marketing. Her NCAA duties began while an undergrad in Muncie, Ind. as a Digital and Social Media Extern she was the content creator for @NCAASoftball and @NCAAVolleyball social accounts in addition to contributing to strategy management, developing graphic and video content and creating on-site content for NCAA Championships.

During her first stint at the NFCA, Jansen created social media and video content, monitored and developed strategy for social media campaigns, while conducting media outreach with clients and members ranging from high school to NCAA Division I softball programs.

“Our team looks forward to working alongside Olivia as we continue our efforts to grow the sport, enhance our business partnerships, and elevate the softball coaching profession,” said Bruggeman.

Celebrating 40 years in 2023, the NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches Association) is the professional organization for fastpitch softball coaches.
