LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Fourteen student-athletes have been named to the NFCA’s 2025 Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) All-America team, the Association announced on Thursday.
Lower Columbia College, the top overall seed at the 2025 NWAC Softball Championships, led all schools with four recipients. Mt. Hood Community College, collected three accolades, followed by Walla Walla Community College and Bellevue College with two each. All-Americans also hailed from Columbia Basin College, Everett Community College and Yakima Valley College. Thirteen of the 14 student-athletes are receiving the honor for the first time.
Lower Columbia’s All-America quartet, featuring batterymates pitcher Zoey Hughes (14-0, 1.59 ERA, 0.73 WHIP, 118 K, 11 BB, 79.1 IP) and catcher Brooklyn Loose (.496, 70 H, 17 HR, 62 RBI, 68 R, .979 SLG), along with shortstop Allison Baumgart (.504, 10 2B, 13 HR, 56 R, .940 SLG) and outfielder Hailey Brooks (.504, 17 2B, 17 HR, 64 RBI, 71 R, 1.150 SLG), powered the Red Devils to the first undefeated regular season (43-0) in NWAC history (apart from the COVID-shortened season), and the league’s top RPI. Loose and Hughes were named the South Region’s Most Valuable Player and Pitcher of the Year.
Mt. Hood’s second baseman Madison Walker (.487, 77 H, 24 2B, 7 HR, 81 RBI, 65 R, .823 SLG), third baseman Jasmyn Lara (.508, 65 H, 12 2B, 13 HR, 69 RBI, 51 R, .906 SLG) and outfielder Serena Hattori (.500, 17 2B, 5 3B, 44 RBI, 80 R, .542 OBP, 43 SB) keyed the Saints to a 34-10 record and the tournament’s No. 4 seed. Walker is the lone repeat All-American on this year’s list.
Seventh-seeded Walla Walla enters the tournament with a 29-13 mark and is represented by outfielder Chloe Taber (.535, 92 H, 11 3B, 58 RBI, 57 R) and designated player/utility non-pitcher Abby Gardner (.442, 69 H, 10 2B, 42 R, 47 RBI). Bellevue’s Brooke Baker (.500, 21 2B, 46 RBI, .803 SLG, .569 OBP) and first baseman Hallie Sehlin (.447, 63 H, 13 2B, 44 RBI) lead the Bulldogs into the tournament as the No. 10 seed.
Also earning All-America honors were Columbia Basin’s Lauryn Krick (20-2, 2.15 ERA, 188 K, 133.1 IP / .576, 25 HR, 83 RBI, 73 R, .652 OBP, 1.400 SLG) as the Joan Joyce Utility/Pitcher, Everett pitcher Alissa Hermansen (17-6, 138 K, 150.2 IP) and Yakima Valley first baseman Emma Stamp (.427, 7 HR, 40 RBI, 31 R, .481 OBP). Krick, a two-way player for the second-seeded Hawks, was named the East Region’s Most Valuable Player, while Hermansen captured the North Region’s Pitcher of the Year plaudit.
NFCA NWAC All-America athletes are nominated and voted on by NFCA-member NWAC head coaches to receive this prestigious accolade.
