The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced today the Top Ten All-Academic teams, based on cumulative team grade-point averages submitted by NFCA member head coaches for the 2004-05 academic year.
Iowa Wesleyan College’s 3.650 grade-point average not only led all NAIA institutions, but it also paced all colleges. University of Detroit Mercy topped NCAA Division I with a 3.591 average, while national champion Lynn topped NCAA Division II with a 3.552 mark.
Frank Phillips College finished right behind Iowa Wesleyan, topping the junior college ranks with a 3.622 average. Hartwick College paced NCAA Division III with a 3.596 cumulative mark.
Belleville West High School and St. Thomas Aquinas topped the high school ranks. Belleville West compiled a 4.038 mark to lead the weighted high schools. St. Thomas Aquinas registered a 3.870 average to claim the top spot among non-weighted high schools.
