Northwestern pitcher Courtnay Foster has been named the Louisville Slugger/NFCA   Division I Player of the Week for the week of April 21-27.
 Foster, a freshman from Tucson, Ariz., pitched three complete game shutouts   last week, and has not allowed an earned run in her last 31 2/3 innings pitched.   She has only allowed 10 hits over that span. Foster struck out the first 10 batters she faced and 18 overall in a 1-0 win   over Loyola. She allowed only an infield slap in the sixth inning against the   Ramblers. It was the most strikeouts by a Northwestern pitcher since 1987. She followed up with a two-hit, 12 strikeout performance against 24th-ranked   Iowa and struck out 11 while giving up just thee hits in a 2-0 win over the   Hawkeyes to give the Wildcats their first sweep of Iowa since 1986. On the season, Foster leads Northwestern with 14 victories and a 1.44 ERA.   The Wildcats are 30-15 on the season and are receiving votes in the USA Today/NFCA   Top 25 poll.
