ISF Approves 43-Foot Pitching Distance in International Play

The International Softball Federation approved moving the pitching distance from 40 to 43 feet in international play and moving the fence distance from 200 to 220 feet. The rules changes, which were announced during the ISF World Congress, will take effect on January 1, 2002.
