Bakersfield College head coach Sandi Taylor and assistants Trish Gay, Beckie Grisham and Ross Vincent have been named the 2005 Speedline/NFCA Cal JC Coaching Staff of the Year, the association announced Friday. 

Taylor, who was named Southern California Coach of the Year, led her Lady Gades to a 32-11 overall record and 21-3 mark in the Western State Conference. Her squad finished a game shy of the Final 8, dropping the regional title game to eventual state runner-up Palomar. 

Taylor and her assistants will be honored at the 2005 NFCA National Convention Nov. 30-Dec. 3 in Orlando, Fla.
